With a strong background in medicine and fitness my yoga classes have an emphasis on optimal body alignment, flexibility, and core strengthening. I believe in challenging my students in a way that will help them realize just what wonderful things they are truly capable of achieving. As a former dancer, my flow tends to be creative and paired with uplifting music. During savasana you may be treated to some relaxing Reiki healing energy that will help you leave my class with a sense of empowerment and calm.
I began my yoga practice in 2005 during my stressful surgical residency. Yoga has remained a mainstay in my life to keep me balanced. I hold a 200HR certification and a Reiki Master practitioner certification from the acclaimed Yandara Yoga Institute in Bali, Indonesia. I'm also a comprehensive Power Pilates certified instructor.
I believe we all have the power within ourselves to create the lives we want and the person we strive to be. The practice of yoga has enabled me to be my best self and I feel so blessed to have this gift to share with others so they too can feel that same joy.
